It all happened in the classic Santa Cruz de la Sierra between Oriente Petrolero and Blooming.

The first half was on when unfortunate acts of violence took place, which caused a player from each team to be sent off. Namely, Sergio Jauregui from Blooming and Leonardo Medina from Oriente.

When they were both heading to the changing room, Jauregui, flung Medina away with an incredible flying kick that left him unconscious and had to be stretchered off.

Meanwhile, players from both teams threatened to hit one another and others restrained Jauregui as he retreated.

Uruguayan striker fell about six feet lying back, almost unconsciously, while players from both sides were fighting feints and others contained Jauregui who retreated to their sector.

Such was the impact and violence experienced that the Public Prosecutor mentioned the defender, who is reportedly on the run as he fled the stadium and his whereabouts are unknown.

As for Medina’s health, forensic surgeon Jose Luis Satt said the athlete must rest for 12 days. “He has pains in the neck, a small bruise below the hyoid bone and grazes on the neck. There is no bone damage nor cartilage, therefore he has a soft tissue contusion.

Oriente Petrolero, Medina’s club announced that they would hold a charge of aggravated assaults, although the player’s condition is not serious.

Jauregui showed up on several television channels to apologize. “All of a sudden I lost my head and I apologize to the family,” said the defender.

Blooming’s player, who has been fully backed by his club’s leadership pointed out that he’ll go to the prosecution to file his disclosure statement on this case. “I’ll be there to sort everything out. ”
