The body could have very easily been carried away by a jaguar or some other predator. That would be an exciting find. If it is a hoax, and only a "normal sloth" stripped of hair, assuredly this would have been revealed by now. People don't WANT "alien" stories, so they would try to discount it as soon as possible. If it is an "unidentifiable animal" or an animal that HAS evolved, it will take a long time to figure it out. I think it would be awesome to go find out if there are others like it alive down there. If that is a sloth, it has evolved to live in a cave, which would explain why it is hairless and blind-looking.
