The three “Bs” to replace Maradona

The president of the Argentine Football Association (AFA), Julio Grondona, betting on a working group called “The Three Bs”, consisting of Carlos Bilardo, current manager of the national team, Sergio Batista and Jose Luis Brown, both in charge of the youth team.

Maradona’s trip to Italy the same day there was a summit scheduled with Grondona was criticized within the AFA.

Yesterday, with the three possible successors in the training grounds of the AFA, Grondona said that Diego will have to listen to Bilardo upon his return. Otherwise, “he knows what to do,” ventured the boss, referring to the exit of the coach.

The coach is in an Italian weight loss clinic, and back into the country on Tuesday or Wednesday next week. On return, he will release the list of players summoned for the friendly match that Argentina will play on September 30  against Ghana, in Cordoba.
