A man went to have dinner at “Creole Style” restaurant in Palermo and he ended up beated as he was attacked by “trapitos” (people who look after parked cars on free of charge streets) who complained about not receiving payment for his parked car. Besides, the aggressors smashed the window of a shop hurling stones at him.

At that moment, many customers went outside to see the fight which ended when the offenders escaped towards Plaza Serrano.

The incident was immediately reported to police station 26 of the Federal Police, according to sources.

Everything happened shortly after 21.30, when six ‘car watchers’ began shouting abuse at four customers who were dining at “Estilo Criollo”, located at 1458 Serrano, because they had refused to pay the ‘workers’ for watching their parked car.

“This happens on this street with the ‘car watchers’ every day. They operate in pairs and if you don’t give them a coin, they insult you and they even attack you. The police is aware of the situation,” said the manager of nearby shop.

Last week on “Peru Beach” in San Isidro, two rugby players from the San Fernando club, had to hospitalized due to injuries suffered as they were shot by the “trapitos” after refusing to pay 10 pesos for ‘parking fare’ demanded by the thugs.

The assailants, three minors, were sent to the Juvenile Office of Accountability in San Isidro. They were then sent with their families.
