Depeche Mode gives stunning concert in Buenos Aires
Depeche Mode presentation at Personal Fest began a little weak but gained strength with each song to reach an intense climax.
While everyone wanted to see Depeche Mode – tickets quikly sold out- questions on the band’s performance were floating around: “How would Gahan feel after surgery?”; “Did you see that he had to cancel some shows?” and so on.
Depeche Mode delivered a superb show with great sound quality and an even better ending.
‘Policy of Truth’ was a clear proof that the sound of Depeche Mode verges on perfection. And of course, the last songs (before the encores) ‘Enjoy The Silence’ and ‘Never Let Me Down Again’ were among the most celebrated by the audience.
Gore returned to the stage a few minutes later with ‘Somebody’.
But when people really had their time was when the band played ‘Behind The Wheel’ and an explosive ‘Personal Jesus’.
Although all were satisfied, people wanted even more. But it will be next time around. Depeche Mode left the stage leaving behind a trail of perfection.
Prior to Depeche Mode ‘La Portuaria’, ‘Banda de Turistas’, ‘Spanish Bombs’ and ‘Catupecu Machu’, also performed, as well as ‘Café Tacuba’, the Mexican band that offered “Déjate caer”, “Ojalá que llueva café”, “Las flores”, “Ingrata”, “Eres”, “Cómo te extraño” and “Chica banda”.
On the other stages, the Brazilians ‘Tom Ze’, the Chileans ‘Rock Hudson (RH+)’, Mexico’s Ximena Sariñana and local bands Rosal, DDC, Kausal and Genitales Argentinos also were present at the festival.
The list of songs played by Depeche Mode:

Thank you for coming again. I was great. It felt like Home. I Still can remember the revolution that started in my mind when i first heard 101, almost 20 years ago. Thank you…
hi, people, don´t you dare to say it was an owesome show they perfomed in buenos aires. honestly, I have to say I kinda feel I´ve been cheated with the ticket cost, it wasn´t at the same level as the quality of the show, a really bad organization of the whole event faded the joy I had had for depeche mode´s second performance in Argentina. after fifteen years of absence, I expected a little more, for example: although I was relatively near the stage, there were too many people who couldn´t appreciate the images on the screens, since the videos had a bad definition and they didn´t reflect what was really happening on the stage. Don´t you get confused, I´m not saying depeche mode didn´t perform well, I mean that many people missed the details, very important in a small scenary like the one in which they played. Another issue was the sound, and this was maybe the biggest, I didn´t feel it strong enough and I know that, in shows like these, surround effect and intensity are used, well I didn´t experience any of these but the energy and cheering of all of us that night in club ciudad de buenos aires.
Let´s just hope that for the third visit these items are taken into account, and please notice that not everybody buys a v.i.p. ticket.
don´t get mad at me, I´ve only tried to be objective.

There are no words, the anxiety we´ve been feeling while te time to see THEM was getting closer…the long lasting wait of 15 years coming to an end…yes the gig started slightly, thank God for that for I though my heart was coming off my chest. To see, and hear you live, breathing the same air, after you were the soundtrack of my life (34), made all efforts be worth it, and I´d do it 100 times again, so please don´t keep us waiting too long for “the next time” Dave, I took your word!God I still remember how happy I was, YOU WERE EXCELLENT, YOU ARE THE BEST BAND EVER (like Fernando from Catupecu Machu said minutes before on the same stage, there´s the Beatles, and then Depeche Mode…WOW)
Perfect!!! Buenos Aires and Santiago (02 days before).
23 years waiting this moment. I never forget. Thank you, very much.
Thank you Depeche for one of the best nights of my life!
Thank you very much.
