Stella McCartney: 2009 best dressed woman

Stella, designer and daughter of former Beatle Paul McCartney was chosen by  fashion magazine Harper’s Bazaar as the best-dressed British woman of the year, followed by actresses Tilda Swinton and Alexa Chung.

In 2008 the U.S. magazine Harper’s Bazaar crowned Gwyneth Paltrow, but this year she was not even on the list.

Stella is the mother of 3 children and became famous for her designs in addition to being the daughter of Paul McCartney.

She was selected by an expert jury, among them was Christian Louboutin and Roland Mouret, an editor of The Guardian and editor Lucy Yeomans of Harper’s Bazaar.

The jury found that “Stella embraces the values of her mother Linda and creates sexy clothes that women want to wear. She dresses for herself and her husband, that’s what we like.”

The actress Tilda Swinton who won an Oscar for her role in Michael Clayton, won second place for their sobriety and personality when it comes to dress, closely followed Alexa Chung, who is considered one of the ‘trendsetter’ the moment .

Supermodel Kate Moss was ranked number 6 and the new revelation of the fashion world, supermodel Agyness Deyn had to settle for seventh place.

Rachel Weisz, was ranked number 8 followed by the Russian model Natalia Vodianova and Helen Mirren, won the position 20, who was the winner of an Oscar for her role in The Queen.
