Madonna visited a “favela” in Rio de Janeiro

Madonna visited Dona Marta favela in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where thirteen years ago Michael Jackson shot his video.

Madonna was received by the governor of Rio de Janeiro, Sergio Cabral, and escorted by bodyguards before the curious eyes of its people visited the Dona Marta favela, where authorities succeeded in beating drugs with policing and social projects.

The singer was dressed in jeans and a black jacket also had a conversation with young disabled people, and witnessed a presentation of contemporary dance samba.

The visit to Rio was intended to seek investment options for some social projects she wants to accomplish.

In addition, the artist made a brief trip to Sao Paulo where she met with a group of 24 women in a poor community, the theme of the talk was about “the positive values that transmits the Hebrew doctrine of the Kabbalah ‘.

Eduardo Paes, mayor, shared a dinner at the home of Brazilian billionaire Eike Batista, and invited her to ‘give a concert in Rio de Janeiro the night of December 31st 2010.
