Martin Palermo is known for his willingness and sacrifice as much as for his footballing qualities, but for the first time he is in a desperate situation.
The team does not play for him as before and after Boca’s poor performance this last Sunday drawing 1 to 1 with Arsenal at Sarandi, the striker told the truth:
“I feel very isolated from what I need, chances, crosses, and I get a little impatient. Yesterday I hardly had any. There were more approaches with Gaitan, with Medel, with Chavez”. There is no one to pass him the ball and he is like an island in a distant horizon.
“I am not participating in game completion, holding the ball and not having any goal chances I am finding it very difficult,” said Palermo perhaps seeking an explanation for his low participation in recent matches with Boca.
About the team´s level, Palermo gave his view: “We can not let two points go as we did. We must have a little more eagerness to win matches. We have Boca´s shirt and each one must be responsible to go out and play, leaving everything on the field. If the chance to win all five games exists, then we win them. We must be actors.
