thestrokes

The prestigious british magazine NME published its ranking for the hundred best albums of the last decade.

The winners  are the Strokes, with the album that launched them to fame in 2001, “Is This It ‘. With great tunes such as “Last Nite” or “Someday”, the album catapulted the New York band to the top , where they fell in 2006, after two more albums, by internal rifts in the band.

The rock bands dominated the “top ten” of the best bands of the decade.

Radiohead and the Arctic Monkeys, as well as music producers and record companies executives were among those who voted for the list.
