Maria Cristina Robert, said her daughter, Gabriela Pomar, “was starting to react to verbal violence.”

The lady, in statements she made on Saturday to radio Mitre, acknowledged that “in the marriage there had been scenes of ‘verbal violence’ and the last time her daughter had begun to react.”

She added that “He was nervous about the lack of work, wanted to give his  family a welfare that was missing”, and “my daughter never confessed she suffered any physical violence.”

She also admitted that “marriage had gone to couples therapy because he had trouble integrating Franco, Gabriela’s eldest son, from a previous relationship, as the teenager loved his dad and Fernando Pomar was treated as the husband of her Mom by him.

Daniel Scioli, governor of the province of Buenos Aires, said, “Pomar family must appear” and insisted that “they are working with the aim of finding him.

Pablo Starc, vice secretary of the Ministry of Security, admitted in statements to reporters that “one hypothesis is that the absence of the family is produced by a domestic situation of Pomar and not that of a crime.”

Police searched their property in Rancagua, and Fernando Pomar’s father said: “The raid was the result of unscrupulous people who call 911 to divert the investigation.”

And that “The anonymous call said that the bodies of my son and his family were in the backyard. I myself worked with the police to enter and review everything.”
