Despite having announced just days ago that he will stay at Atletico Madrid at least until the end of the season, the English press, more precisely, the Daily Mirror reports that Chelsea’s Roman Abramovich is preparing a bid of 40 million British Pounds (about 44 million Euros) to take Sergio Agüero to London.
Atletico has already rejected similar amounts for Kun and they would only be forced to sell him if the Blues pay Aguero’s buyout clause worth € 60 million plus VAT to the Spanish Treasury.
Chelsea is in a hurry to close their future additions as they can only bring players this winter due to the sanction applied by UEFA for the case of young Frenchman Gaël Kakuta, where the Blues are accused of having ’stolen’ the player from Lens. It is in the process of appeal, which opens this possibility before the sanction takes effect.
On top of that, they published that Agüero will be forced to lower his wages due to differences in tax legislation in the two countries.
Inter wants him but Chelsea’s offer is better, IMG (Kun’s representatives) would like him to play for the Blues and so on. All this mere speculation keeps troubling colchoneros fans who don’t want to lose Kun as they did with ‘El Niño Torres’.
The Spanish club leaders with Miguel Angel Gil and Enrique Cerezo at the top, will find themselves in an untenable position if they do let go Aguero in January. Atletico fans have been suffering for some time from their management and the promise of keeping Forlan and Kun must be fulfilled.
We can imagine the Vicente Calderon empty as an act of protest if Kun ends up going to in England without mentioning the possible debacle of the team without its biggest star.
Thanks to Atleti’s poor management, 50% of any sales must be paid to the Treasury to lower club’s debt. Then the amount entered would be reduced drastically affecting the possibility of strengthening the team with players to replace Kun.
Then, if Kun wants to stay, if Atletico does not want to sell him, and if Chelsea will not pay what is expected, nothing indicates that this offer is different from all previous ones.
Aguero will continue to be from Atletico, the club he played for from age 17 until at least after the World Cup.

I hope Agüero can reject such a move. If I were able to advise him, I would tell him to go anywhere but Chelsea. Don’t ask me why I don’t like them, I don’t know… I just know that I don’t.
