Six members of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) were arrested by the police in that country. Among the six, would have a killed 9 policemen.
The detainees were part of the front 23 of the FARC, according to Colombia’s National Police. The Attorney General of the People had issued an arrest warrant against the guerrillas on charges of rebellion.
Sources reported that the arrests were made thanks to the collaboration of the Directorate of Judicial Police in Scimitar and Landazuri towns, Santander District, northeastern Colombia.
The front 23, to which the prisoners belonged, is accused of a bomb attack in 2007, in the mountains of Landazuri, which left nine police officers dead and one injured.
Also, they are accused of having participated in another attack last July, causing serious injuries to two other agents. Having layed mines and other terrorist actions.
