In Wicomico, U.S. authorities found at dawn yesterday, the body of the 11 year old girl who was sought from hours earlier after being abducted from her bedroom.
Sarah Haley Foxwell was found in the Rum Ridge area, northwest of the county and near the border between the states of Maryland and Delaware.
Police sources reported that “Since the news, up to 3 thousand volunteers gathered in the city of Salisbury to find the girl who was kidnapped by a sex offender.
The newspaper ‘The Baltimore Sun’, reported that “the volunteers gathered to search for the girl, after last night 200 people tried to locate her, without success, in fields and frozen lakes of the area.”
Police spokesman stated that “Little, Sarah Haley Foxwell, was wearing pajamas with Christmas themes when she disappeared on Tuesday night from the bed where she was sleeping at her aunt´s house, who has custody.
‘The Baltimore Sun’, who had access to judicial records reported that “A little sister of the child awoke during the night and saw Sarah leaving the room with an old boyfriend of her aunt, a man with a criminal record for sexual assault.
The aggressor Thomas James Leggs Jr., 30, was arrested on charge of kidnapping. By the time he is being uncooperative with the law.
