The gates of the graveyard where Sandro is buried were opened for the fans who wish to visit his grave.
There isn’t allowed to take pictures or leave objects but the grave was inevitable transformed into a shrine.
The place chosen for Roberto Sanchez is special. He rests in one of the three exclusive gardens in a sector called” The Flowers “.
The name was given because the place is an oasis of shades in where thick trees, hydrangeas, sugar flowers, roses and the earth form a horseshoe.
In the remaining space they made a pebble carpet and a wooden bench on which they will put a bronze plaque with the family’s name. The grave doesn’t have a plaque with the name of the artist yet.
Yesterday, about 50 people came to Sandro’s grave that will be guarded for two months by two security officers.
The family hasn’t allowed yet taking pictures of the place and security guards are meant to prevent that from happening.
Perhaps further in time, like Jim Morrison’s grave in Paris, Sandro’s grave will become a sanctuary.
