A family travelling to the Atlantic coast was attacked by a group of criminals who threw a hammer at the car’s windshield. The couple’s daughter had several injuries.
The incident occurred at 5:30 yesterday morning. Daniel, the family’s father, said over the radio that they were travelling to La Lucila del Mar when they were attacked by a group of criminals.
“Clearly what they were looking for by hurling a hammer at the car was that we stopped so they could rob us,” said the father, who said that they didn’t stop until they reached the area of Pato in Berazategui.
Florencia, 24, Daniel’s daugther, got badly hurt. After windshield broke she was cut on one arm and had injuries in one eye.
“We were in two cars. I was in one with several relatives. And my daughter was in the other with the rest of the family. We called off our vacactions because of this. My daughter is terrified,” lamented teh father, who also claimed that when the incident took place there were no policemen. “
