Top seed Gaston Gaudio, former winner of Rolland Garros, received a wild card and will play in the Copa Telmex in Buenos Aires, starting on 15 February.
The organization of Copa Telmex made the announcement today. Gaudio, winner of the 2005 contest, will join Carlos Moya, who had been previously invited.
“We believe in this very special tournament, where we meet ten years in a row with Copa Telmex. Gaston deserved to be invited for the unconditional support he gave. We are excited to have him,” said Martin Jaite, director of the event.
David Ferrer is the top seed for ATP 250 Buenos Aires, where the main attraction will undoubtedly be the presence of David Nalbandian, who won the tournament in 2008 and will return to the tour after his failed attempt in the Australia Open.
The ticket offices are now open in the Buenos Aires Lawn Tennis, home of the tournament. Prices range from $ 60 for for the day session, to $ 250 for the best seats in the tournament final.
