A argument about the performance of the Paraguayan Soccer star Salvador Cabañas at his club America of Mexico could be the cause of the shot he received last Monday. The aggressor would be related to the Mafia.
According to a witness, Paraguay striker Salvador Cabanas may have dared the man who shot at a late-night bar in Mexico Jose Jorge Balderas to pull the trigger.
It seems that reproached him for poor performance and missing goals in the match against Morelia.
“What happened, Cabañas? What about the goals you are suppose to score for America to be champion?” said Balderas in the bath.
Cabañas, upset with the words, replied “Who are you?”.
To which Balderas said, “The son of a bitch that will kick your ass” as he pulled a gun and pointed Cabañas´ head.
“Do it! Do it if you have balls!” Cabañas shouted with no fear. Balderas shot, Cabañas fell down the floor.
He remains in critical condition with a bullet lodged in his brain.
