Rodrigo “La Hiena” Barrios was released from prison by the Trial Chamber III of the Appeals and Guarantees Court form Mar del Plata City beacuse of the lack of criminal history.
Defense attorney Jose Vera confirmed the information and said the decision was unanimous, beacuse the crime, aggravated manslaughter, is bailable.
The results of toxicology and alcohol test in blood and urine of “La Hiena” revealed that the boxer had not ingested alcohol or drugs before the accident, which is contradicted by the testimony of witnesses who attended the party where Barrios was.
Therefore, the controversy centers on the possible existence of a diuretic eaten by “The Hyena” during the six hours he was a fugitive.
