Bank employees strike today

Today, workers who belong to La Bancaria, bank employee society, held a strike from 8 am in the whole country, and it could be repeated next week.
La Bancria workers will not attend customers today in the public and private banks across the country, for a wage claim.
They also demand “the repeal of income tax that is applied to wages and union framework of bank employees that work in call centers.”
Eduardo Berrozpe, press secretary of La Bancaria, said yesterday that “the battle plan has two reasons: failure of wage settlements by the banks and the income tax that punishes unjustly wages.”
Berrozpe, added that “measures consist in make assemblies to inform both workers and the public of this situation and it will begin at 8 am on Thursday (today) in places where banks are open at that hour, and from 10 am in Buenos Aires City and Province.”
