Cobos replied to Cristina’s aggressions and asked that she reconsidered travelling to China


Vice President Julio Cobos replied to president Cristina Fernandez’ statements on national TV today. He said that “the repeated offensive allegations from Kirchner do nothing but “worry the Argentine people”, and he asked her to reconsider her decision of not travelling to China.

Reynaldo Benito Antonio Bignone, Argentina’s last dictator, is being judged from today along with five other generals and a Buenos Aires superintendent. They accused of 58 kidnappings, missing people, and tortures committed three decades ago in Campo de Mayo, the biggest clandestine detention centre in Argentina.

Alfonsin´s state funeral, with full military honors and the assistance of hundreds of prominent Argentine and foreign personalities, begun at Thursday noon. His remains were provisionally deposited in the exclusive Recoleta cemetery of Buenos Aires, until a special mausoleum is built in that cemetery.

The governments of Paraguay, Peru, Spain, Uruguay, Colombia, among others, expressed their condolences to the Argentinean State and to the family of Raúl Alfonsín, during the acts to dismiss the remains of the ex-president.
