An apartment on the eleventh floor of a building located on Salguero Street of the Argentine capital was the scene of a fire that started at about two o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday.

After last Tuesday’s incident in Plaza Almagro, when a branch of a tree fell on a 6-year-old girl, the city’s government dismissed Carlos Paltrnieri, who was in charge of the Arbolado Urbano operative.

Two elderly people died and 16 others were affected by food poisoning as they were fed with spoiled food in a geriatric centre in the Buenos Aires neighbourhood of Almagro, which is now under the authorities’ investigation.

One of the affected neighbors said “they were not under age, they were very well organized and were communicating between them with cell phones and kept us all tied up”
