Tomas Berdych has outlasted Juan Monaco 6-4, 2-6, 2-6, 6-3, 6-2 to give the Czech Republic a 1-0 lead over Argentina in their best-of-five Davis Cup quarterfinals series.

The quarter final series of the Davis Cup against Czech Republic, will be launched today at 10:00 am, in the match where Argentine Juan Monaco will face Berdych.

The captain of the Argentine team of Davis Cup, Modest “Tito” Vázquez, confirmed Juan Martín Del Potro, Juan Mónaco, Leonardo Mayer and José Acasuso to face Czech Republic, for the quarter finals of the tournament.
