Argentina took a 2-1 lead over Sweden in their Davis Cup first-round series Saturday when David Nalbandian (who was a late replacement for Leonardo Mayer) and Horacio Zeballos defeated Robin Soderling and Robert Lindstedt 6-2, 7-6 (4), 7-6 (5) in the doubles.

Nalbandian is angry for not being part of the Argentine Davis Cup team that will travel to Stockholm, and stated that “Tito” Vazquez chose ‘the best players today’. About his injury in Buenos Aires David said: ‘Sometimes the fighting spirit betrays you’.

David Nalbandian got injured again, this time in his right abductor, and therefore left out of the Telmex Cup in Buenos Aires, and the tournament in Acapulco, where he confirmed his participation. He will also be out for the Davis Cup match against Sweden in Stockholm.
