Mendoza Governor Celso Jaque signed this morning a decree authorizing the chemical castration to prevent recidivism of people sentenced for rape. It would be inforced in a month’s time.

Eleven prisoners in Mendoza, mostly repeat offenders between 30 and 40 years of age, requested chemical castration as part of a government pilot scheme which aims at abusers not to become recidivists.
