An explosive device went off this morning near the Supreme Court in Tegucigalpa and another in the building of the Channel 10 TV of Honduras, causing no injuries, only property damage, police said.

Hondurans are scheduled to go to the polls next week to elect a new President. With this they would suposedly bring an end to the country’s protracted political crisis.

Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner is the president with the lowest approval rate in South America. She has the 20% followed by her Paraguayan president Fernando Lugo, with 25%.

The Honduran de facto ruler, Roberto Micheletti, says the US has revoked his diplomatic and tourist visas to pressure him to step down and reinstate exiled president Manuel Zelaya.

Manuel Zelaya, deposed Honduran president said yesterday in Guatemala that he would not abandon the struggle for returning in office and noted that the de facto regime of Robert Micheletti has failed in his attempt to gain international recognition.

The Honduran de facto government has agreed to accept the delegation from the Organization of American States after initially rejecting the mission.

Interim President Roberto Micheletti is willing to reschedule the delegation’s visit, previously planned for Tuesday as long as Organization of American States chief Jose Miguel Insulza is excluded, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
