Dakar Rally 2010 has started, competitors of all categories started from Colon, with 30 minutes of delay. The firsts to leave were motorcyclists, and all categories had a small change in the route due to the floods. It was shortened about 50 km, that´s why the section between Colon and the city of Cordoba has a total of 168 km for motorcycles and quads and 199 for cars and trucks.

The remains of a Spanish citizen have been identified by the Argentine Forensic Anthropology Team. The man disappeared during the last military dictatorship, and is considered to be the first time a Spanish citicez is positively identified as a victims of the dirty war.
