Two elderly people died and 16 others were affected by food poisoning as they were fed with spoiled food in a geriatric centre in the Buenos Aires neighbourhood of Almagro, which is now under the authorities’ investigation.

People with normal immune systems have little to fear, but these microbes could be a concern for folks with cystic fibrosis or AIDS, people who are undergoing cancer treatment or those who have had a recent organ transplant.

President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner signed an agreement between the National Bank and ANSeS to finance the Invap, the only Latin American company specializing in aerospace activities. The ceremony took place in the Hall of Science, located on the first floor of Government House.
