Former dictator Jorge Rafael Vdiela refused to testify today at the hearing that was convened in order to broaden the investigation into the cause of crimes committed within the jurisdiction of the First Army Corps during the military dictatorship.

The National Chamber of Criminal Appeals today rejected appeals by former commanders Domingo Bussi and Luciano Menéndez, against the ruling that in 2008 sentenced them to life imprisonment for the disappearance and death of Senator Guillermo Vargas Aignasse in Tucuman in the early morning of the 24 March, 1976 coup.

The first day of trial against judge Elsa Rosa Parrilli, who discriminated against and instulted two traffic clerks, ended today. The judge left feeling sick after watching the video, even though she returned afterwards. She left without comment.
